Big, fat and Sleepy.
Finished my IT degree. Now I need something else to use as an excuse for not practicing.

Once upon a time in the west study by RoflHarris
Once upon a time in the west study
Not much to talk about here. Liked the poster, hadn't done anything in a while, decided I'd copy it for a more 'finished' piece. It was fun most of the way through but its hard to shake the feeling that I wasted most of a weekend on what a photocopier could have done better. Regardless I think I learned a bit and might be able to start moving towards relying less on linework in my future works... if I can make myself take the necessary time to define shape and tone without them :(

Samson the Wise - Dwarven Bard and Dandy by RoflHarris
Samson the Wise - Dwarven Bard and Dandy
Another DnD character from another campaign I'm in.

Over 200 years old, Samson is a Dwarf past his prime. Spending his younger years as a Travelling bard interested only in wine, women and gaudy fashions has left him a shadow of his former self. While he wouldn't consider himself "frail", there's no denying the aches and pains he feels when sleeping rough and he has recently taken to carrying a stout walking cane. However, after finding himself embroiled in a plot with some unsavoury characters with intrigue and danger around every corner, he still spends time and spell slots every day to ensure his extravagant clothes are perfectly cleaned and pressed. His deepest fear is not for the actions of his criminally insane partners, but rather that someone will point out the unfortunate male-pattern-baldness that has caused his chin to shed hair at an alarming rate these past few years.

Originally intended to be a flamboyant swordsdwarf on the front lines, his habit of rolling minimum Hitpoints every level has sent him back as a highly theatrical supporting spell-caster and moral compass for the party. Artistically, I once again wanted to draw some interesting facial hair and the typical unruly dwarven beard wasn't going to cut it.

Agrid - the Forest Gnome Rogue by RoflHarris
Agrid - the Forest Gnome Rogue
I'm not dead! Haven't posted in a while but I made myself do a few more 'finished' pieces since lack of time has prevented me from doing my normal 'sit down and doodle for a few hours' method.

This is a portrait of one of my current DnD characters. Agrid was the the captured forest gnome from my old Dragon Puncher's campaign (…). Starting with a new DM, I decided to build on this NPC's story. Having escaped his fierce captors in a rather unstable mental state, Agrid fled across the sea to start his new life as a chaotic neutral conman, convincing unsuspecting nobles he was Lord Patrick, rightful ruler of a distant land called Shanesy, (Patty O'Shanesy for short) who was hiding from his evil brother but would be sure to reward them greatly for their generosity once he regained his position of power. After getting run out of a few towns pulling this scam, he somehow found himself tangled up in another band of adventurers off to save the world as a willing (if cowardly and conniving) participant this time.

In-game, he dresses as a leprechaun to convince unwary marks of his foreignness. Artistically, I am continuing my trend of enjoying drawing facial hair far more than actual hair.

Mountains and picnic (IRC doodles) by RoflHarris
Mountains and picnic (IRC doodles)
<WaffleHarris> quick, give me something to draw
<pitman> mountains ?
<pitman> a picnic  ?

For the first time in months I took a dumb idea, sketched it in a few minutes and actually enjoyed drawing it. Now to keep it up. (The joke is that's Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane from GoT)

Rarely, check the scraps.

I'm also a touch curious whether I know you or was this just a random 'watch an empty account' act of kindness?
